Since opening in 2005, it has established itself as one of Europe’s leading retail and entertainment centres, featuring over 170 stores across fashion, lifestyle, homeware and technology sectors. The centre combines premium retail brands with diverse dining options, entertainment facilities including a 12-screen cinema, and family-friendly amenities. Spanning multiple levels with contemporary architecture and design, Dundrum Town Centre attracts millions of visitors annually and serves as a significant economic and social hub for the local community. The centre is committed to sustainability and community engagement, continuously working to enhance the shopping experience while minimising environmental impact and supporting local initiatives.

Our proudest achievement is our 60% reduction in landlord carbon emissions since 2019, positioning us firmly on track towards our net zero 2030 target. We’ve demonstrated that ambitious sustainability goals are achievable through comprehensive action: expanding solar capacity to 267kW, replacing gas heating with heat pumps, conserving over 5 million litres of water annually and maintaining one of Ireland’s highest shopping centre recycling rates at 79%. Additionally, installing Ireland’s first complimentary sensory room in a shopping centre in 2024 reflects our belief that true sustainability encompasses both environmental responsibility and social inclusion.

Dundrum Town Centre began their sustainability journey back in 2011, long before sustainability became fashionable. Every year they review progress on their plan and set new improvement actions. Their performance improvement over the years is the result of a large number of actions, many of them small and simple in themselves, and all requiring the support of the staff. Real, measurable environmental action has never been more important, and Dundrum Town Centre are determined to play their part in full.
