Details On Our Speakers

Susan Collins, Home Of Hair

Susan Collins is the owner and driving force behind Home of Hair, a dual-location, B Corp certified salon group operating in Greystones and Blacklion, County Wicklow. With 24 years of experience in the hairdressing industry, Susan has become one of Ireland’s most progressive salon leaders, known for pairing exceptional craft with a strong, purpose-led business vision.

Beginning her career as a stylist and evolving into a respected entrepreneur, Susan founded Home of Hair to create a space where high-level technical artistry, genuine connection, and responsible beauty could exist together. Today, her salons stand among a very small number of B Corp certified hair salons in Europe, recognised for ethical sourcing, low-impact operations, and a commitment to measurable sustainability.

Across both locations, Home of Hair is celebrated for bespoke blonding, precision cutting, advanced education, and eco-conscious design that reflects Susan’s belief that great hair and great values should go hand in hand. Her leadership style empowers her team to grow creatively while embedding environmental responsibility into everyday salon life.

Beyond the salon floor, Susan is a vocal advocate for raising standards within the Irish hair industry, championing education, sustainability, and community engagement in Greystones and beyond.

Lúgh Ó Braonáin, Climate Connected Project

Lúgh Ó Braonáin of Energy Co-operatives Ireland is representing the Climate Connected Project. This is an initiative supported by DECC and Pobal which is designed to support communities in taking tangible climate action. Developed in partnership with University of Galway, regional climate-offices and community groups across counties like Sligo, Mayo and Galway, the project aims to demystify climate action and reduce barriers by providing accessible, tested resources. By equipping local groups with governance tools, engagement strategies, carbon-footprint guidance and downloadable plans, Climate Connected empowers people to transition from awareness to action and work toward a lower-carbon future together. It provides a free online toolkit with key modules – ranging from forming community committees, engaging residents, measuring local emissions, to creating tailored decarbonisation plans, and sharing inspirational case-studies of grassroots success.

He has keen interest in all things about sustainability and is absolutely committed to creating a better world.

What People Have Said About Our Events

This was one of the most useful and enjoyable sustainability events I’ve attended in some time. It was informative, inspirational and great for networking. I look forward to collaborating with some of the contacts I made on the day. Discussions are already underway!
